Gaijin Tour Guides in Akihabara

Every so often, something like the Japan Times or Metropolis will mention foreigners that act as tour guides for newbies wanting to explore Akihabara. Often, the guides will be in cosplay. Probably the guides that look best in costume are from Akibanana. Here we have the opposite.

This is the first time I've seen one of these guides in person, and I apologize for the grainy photo with someone's head in the shot. Anyway, this wasn't the best choice of roles for this guide. "Kirby" would have been better than an overweight Son Goku.

Sou desu ne...
I realize that not everyone is suited to look good dressed as the characters that they really like. But if he's going to do it as part of his job, it'd be nice if he'd try a little harder at it rather than just slap on some store-bought outfit.

There is no silly job...even when you have to wear a silly outfit :D

That's an interesting way to put it... I guess that applies to both sports mascots, and maid cafes. ;-)
