Back around last Christmas, I wrote about the chindoya. These are hired performers that play flute, chimes and drums (hence "chin" and "don") to attract attention to a store or event. This time, like last, the store was a pachinko parlor. The pedestrians don't look inclined to go into the parlor, though.
This troupe was found on Yasukuni Dori, about halfway between Shinjuku and Ochanomizu. They were playing some pretty decent jazz when I walked by.
