Hanami 2010

Another year has come and gone, and the latest hanami (cherry blossom viewing) season is pretty much past us. Normally, hanami is a group event where co-workers or family stake out a place in a park or along a river, and have a drinking picnic all day. This can include lots of food, beer and sake. However, because of the colder weather, rain and heavy winds, very few people could stand being out for more than an hour or two, tops. And, the winds whipped the petals off the trees pretty quick so that when the weather did improve most of the branched looked pretty battered.

Not many chances for taking good photos this time.
