Gegege no Nyobo

Shigeru Mizuki is well-known as a manga artist, having created the popular "Gegege no Kitaro" series ("gegege" is the sound people make when they're afraid). His real name is Shigeru Mura, and he married Nunoe Mura around 1961 back when he was still trying to establish himself as a professional artist. Nunoe wrote an autobiography detailing their experiences, which came out in 2008. It was since turned into a TV drama series, airing on NHK from March, 2010, as its 82nd Asadora program (Asadora is short for "Morning Drama"). "Gegege no Nyobo" translates to "Wife of Gegege".

I've caught bits and pieces of the show, where the one-armed Shigeru, as a very handsome young man, is trying to break into the business. Surprisingly, there is very little on youtube in the way of the episodes themselves. Mainly, it's just the show's opening credits sequence, some interviews with people involved in the show, and covers of the theme song. At a minimum, you can watch the opening here.
