Osamu Moet Moso

I'd written a few weeks back that the manager of the Tokyo Animation Center (TAC) had been really excited about the next scheduled exhibit coming up at the end of September, but didn't want to talk about it at the time. Well, the event started on Sept. 18, and runs until Oct. 11. It's called Osamu Moet Moso, and it's a "moe" tribute to Osamu Tezuka, by some of Japan's top artists (moe referring to something that is cute and sexy at the same time). Naturally there are signs all over saying no photos. But there's kind of a loophole in the way this rule is enforced in Japan - if you stand outside the door, it's more or less tolerated as long as you don't block traffic and you don't get too blatant about it.

The shots didn't come out all that well, in part because of the reflective covers over the artwork, or because the camera didn't want to focus on the right location, but mostly because of my angle to the door. Anyway, you get the idea.
