TAC - 10th Tokyo Anime Fair Exhibit

While the Tokyo Anime Center, in Akihabara, had closed its doors back in January, they have decided to reopen temporarily in time for the Tokyo Anime Fair (TAF), being held at Big Sight during Mar. 24-27. From Feb. 26 to Mar. 21, the TAC will host the TAF 10th Anniversary Exhibit, on the 4th floor of the UDX building. The front half of the TAC space contains exhibits of materials from past TAF shows, and their advertising posters. The back half still contains the goods shop with t-shirts, posters and snack items. During the exhibit the TAC information desk is selling TAF admission tickets.

If I understand the calendar right, the TAC will also announce the winners of the Fifth Annual Voice Actors Awards on Mar. 5. There may be some other events as well - check the TAC page for updates.

Edit: On Saturday, I dropped by the TAC to see if they had the TAF show booklets for sale, then discovered that I'd gotten the dates wrong (I'd been thinking that TAF was in Feb. and therefore was already over). (Also, I didn't see the booklets at the information desk.) However, I was surprised to see the TAC manager at the desk, and we talked a bit about the fate of the TAC once the TAF exhibit was over. He'd confirmed that the space was undergoing renovations, but he wasn't sure when they'd be done. He was thinking that TAC could reopen by late Summer, or maybe late Fall.
