Daichuji Temple

Daichuji temple is just a couple of blocks from my apartment, heading in the direction of Tram Street. I've walked past it a number of times before, but I hadn't bothered taking photos in part because there's no English historical marker. But, it is on my tourist map, marked as "Monument to the Satsuma Retainers", so I might as well do a write-up on it. The front portion of the temple is a graveyard, and the markers are for the retainers under Hirata Yukie that had been ordered by the Shogun to do deadly river repairs in 1753.
