About 4 blocks west of the Kagoshima Chuo train station, there's this pole near the intersection of two major streets. There are metalwork ornaments attached to both sides, which are either painted or have pictures glued to them. There's the volcano, Saigo and Napoleon on horseback. I guess the sign at the bottom says who put it there. There are several offices and bars in the area, but nothing that looks like a metal shop.

On the wall along the parking lot near the pole is a framed metalwork with what looks like souvenir keychains attached to it. The main tan section is a map of Kyushu. The bird-like figures along the red line symbolize the new bullet train that started running from Kagoshima to Kumamoto 2 years ago.
