Seizan Calligraphy Exhibition

A year ago, the International Exchange Center held a calligraphy exhibit entitled The Kanboku. The week of April 6th, there was a similar exhibit, but this time referring to the Seizan school of calligraphy (9th exhibit). Seizan seems to be a national style, and they mention the Kagoshima exhibit in their events page. Again, I arrived mid-day, mid-week, which is why there's almost no one else here.

There's quite a wide variety of materials displayed here, beyond the traditional black ink on white cloth or paper.

A couple tables were set up to allow visitors to practice calligraphy themselves.)

Seen from a certain angle, this looks like someone's profile.
