There's this one species of bird that hangs out along Kotsuki river. It flies fast and low. However, it also spends a lot of time on the streets and in parking lots looking for food. They explore a lot, and move around so much that it's hard to get any kind of photo of them at all, much less a good photo.
The other day, I was walking past a butcher shop when I heard the woman inside shout at something to "get out". Shortly afterward, this little guy walks out onto the sidewalk, looks around and goes back into the shop. The woman reached out and sprinkled bread crumbs on the ground, which he quickly ate. When the crumbs were gone, he went back into the shop.
Eventually, the woman moved a little too quickly for him, startling him a bit. Figuring that he'd worn out his welcome, he jumped up onto the curb to cross the street in the middle of heavy traffic. The woman changed her mind, saying that instead of walking in front of a car, it'd be ok for him to come back into the shop after all.
