Swallow Babies

Back last Spring, I wrote about how I was pretty much unable to find any swallow nests because two of the three had been torn out and the third was damaged a day after I found it. Well, in mid-August I was walking by the taxi stand in Tenmonkon when I heard chirping. It was raining, so I waited until the next day to return with the big camera. This nest was close to one of the damaged ones, and the chicks were getting close to "leaving the nest" size. I'm pretty happy with how the shots turned out, but I am surprised that the eggs were laid so late in the year. A few days later, the next was empty.
