Amu Market Jan. 3

Another crafts fair up at Amu Plaza last weekend. Nothing I had any interest in buying, and no live music, but the Segway demonstration was enough to make me want to take photos. The things are supposed to be safe, so I question the need for the helmets, even if they're just for insurance value.

The Christmas tree was quickly replaced by lucky bamboo hoops. Generally, the idea is for young couples to do figure-8 loops around the hoops, but the big green bushes in the middle of the planters make that a bit difficult.

An example of one of the craft booths.

The air quality has been so poor lately, that even the mannequins need masks.

Meanwhile, in front of the Juu-Cross music store in Tenmonkan, there was a mini stage set up for music events all Sunday. The singer here is Yoko. She was advertised for a different event a few weeks ago, but this was the first time I'd seen her perform. She's doing karaoke over a CD playing in the background; mainly love ballads. She's good, but it's not my type of music.
