This kind of amused me. Someone decided, for some reason, to put markers on two locations in one small area of Tenmonkan. Here, we have "Kesu" (extinguish) to mark a water hose connection (similar to what you'd have for a fire hydrant). Not sure if anyone really needs the extra marker to point out what the connector is for, but what are you going to do?
My main interest, though, was for "torii." I was thinking that maybe there was a small shrine behind the gate, and that this was a way of letting people know that. But, there's nothing, just a small space that goes back about 2 feet and then gets closed off by the wall. So, apparently someone thought that it was important to put the word "gate" on the gate in case we couldn't figure that out.
