Ginga Tetsudo 999 has teamed up with Helios Brewery for a line of themed alcoholic beverages. The Queen Esmeraldas red ale is 9% ABV, for 380 yen w/o tax (about $3.75 USD) for one can. I tried checking out the website, but there's no mention of these beers at all there. The photo is blurry because the camera refused to focus on the can.
It's a typical hoppy Japanese red, bitter but not grapefruity.
The only other thing I've seen in this lineup is the Captain Harlock chu-hai (shochu and club soda). (Which I'm not going to bother with.)
