New chalk art for Loop Shoe store. Initially, I had no idea who this was supposed to be. Then, just by accident I spotted a similar picture printed on paper and pasted in a school window, with the text "Osako Hanpa Naitte." A google search led me to a Japan Times article talking about some t-shirts a designer named Yasukazu Asano had come up with to promote soccer player Yuya Osako. Apparently this had turned into a meme that resurfaced when the Samurai Blue team made it to the 2018 World Cup. The phrase translates to "Osako is Way Too Good."
